The LPE Story

The LPE story is Ezra Bourne's story.  Founded in 2014, the path to LPE's creation started as Ezra’s journey began; on the small island nation of Barbados, whose motto is "Pride and Industry", words that resonate and inspire Ezra daily.  Having migrated to the U.S in 1987 as a wide-eyed teenager; he graduated high school and made the significant decision to join the US Navy.  That decision set his path on a trajectory that landed him in the Washington, DC area and led to his eventual career choice.  Seeking more formal training, Ezra graduated from The George Washington University Event Management Program and soon after obtained his first designation as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Subsequently, his career path saw him elevated to various management and supervisory positions.  In 2008, Ezra was elevated to the position of Director of Conference Services at a large Washington DC-based international consulting firm, managing a diverse team and executing dozens of public, corporate, and non-profit client contracts.  As a result of his success as a corporate director, Ezra pursued his goal of entrepreneurship when he founded LPE Associates in 2014.  Ezra’s wide range of industry expertise and management experience, combined with his strong sense of commitment to leadership throughout his career, have shaped his energy, drive and customer service focus to this day... and always with "Pride and Industry".


Ezra R. Bourne, CMP, CGMP - President and founder of LPE Associates LLC.  LPE Associates (LPE) is a Washington DC based professional services firm with clients throughout the public, non-profit and private sectors.  


Ezra brings 20 plus years of experience in the professional services industry to his leadership role at LPE.  He's managed and implemented TA and research contracts, implemented project plans at the local, national, and international level.  He has also successfully executed large, complex project plans, managed board and executive leadership services of large companies, and has led large multi-dimensional teams throughout his career.  

Mela Emam - As the Chief Financial Officer at LPE Associates, Mela is the senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of the company.  She has extensive experience in managing business finance and specializes in accounting systems setup, project costing, contract management, acquisition, reporting, and COR interface.  Mela in her 25+ years of experience has helped to transform several small organizations to prime contractors in providing global service to the US Government and private companies worldwide.
